The dish that started it all! The number one favorite Kique recipe! This dish is so easy and simple to make for the familia anytime. It is a great dish that compliments so well with a variety of condiments or toppings. You can’t go wrong with how you customize your ChilaKIQUES.
This recipe is to make 1 serving
To start off these are the ingredients that we are going to need for this savory dish.
1/2 jar of KIQUES salsa of your choosing
6 corn tortillas or unsalted crispy restaurant tortilla chips
Oil of your choice ( I like to use extra virgin olive oil)
1 egg
Optional ingredients
1/2 avocado thinly sliced
Queso fresco
Chopped onion
Chopped chilantro
Kiques Steps:
Cut the 6 tortillas into triangles
Place generous amount of oil into a nonstick pan and heat up
Once hot place cut tortillas or tortilla chips into pan
Once tortillas are a light golden color or tortilla chips have warmed up for about a minute, then place 1/2 jar of kiques salsa into the pan
Let salsa simmer with tortillas/ chips for 1:30-2:00 min
Plate the chilaKIQUES onto a plate
Get another nonstick pan with a table spoon of oil and heat up
Fry up 1 egg or make 1 egg as desired
Place egg on top of chilaKIQUES
Add any toppings you would like such as avocado, queso fresco, onion, cilantro, or etc.
